About Upper Ghaghri Waterfall
The Upper Ghaghri Waterfall, also known locally as Bhainsborwa, is a serene natural attraction situated about 6 km from the Mahuadanr bus stand.
The name “Ghaghri” means waterfall in the local dialect, and this site is one of the two falls on the Ghaghri River — the other being the famous Lower Ghaghri Falls located downstream.
Though not very high, the waterfall forms a scenic pond at its base, surrounded by dense forest and rocky terrain.
The area remains pleasantly cool and shaded throughout the day due to the thick foliage.
Visitors can walk down a natural path to the base, where the gentle roar of falling water and chirping birds create a mesmerizing ambiance.
It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers who wish to experience the untouched charm of Jharkhand’s wilderness.
