About Lodh Waterfall

One of the highest waterfalls in Jharkhand, Lodh Waterfall (also known as Budha Ghagh) cascades from a height of approximately 468 feet in the dense forests of Latehar district. Originating from the Burha River, this breathtaking natural wonder is a popular tourist destination, attracting both nature lovers and history enthusiasts.

In the British era, dignitaries often visited this scenic spot and stayed in the now-ruined “Laat Bangla” bungalow, located near the waterfall’s base. The pool beneath the waterfall is believed to be very deep, with local tales suggesting that its depth could never be measured.

Located about 61 km from Netarhat and 142 km from Latehar headquarters, the waterfall remains one of the most enchanting natural spots in Jharkhand. Its roaring waters, lush green surroundings, and tranquil ambiance make it a must-visit destination for travelers.
