About Netarhat School
The Netarhat Vidyalaya, also known as the Netarhat Residential School,
is one of the most important educational institutions in Jharkhand.
This all-boys school was founded in 1954 by educationist F.G. Pearce
with the support of the government of the then undivided Bihar.
Pearce is also credited with founding the Scout Movement in India.
The school is widely recognized for its Gurukul-based system of teaching.
The campus is exceptionally beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and forests.
At its heart lies a large, well-maintained garden filled with colorful flowering plants,
leading to the main school building.
The school building, designed in the colonial-era architectural style,
has a distinctive sloping red-tiled roof. On either side of the main structure stand
two crescent-shaped, single-storey buildings that house classrooms.
The campus is further enriched with statues and busts of
Indian leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, B.R. Ambedkar, and Swami Vivekananda.
